Founded by Elliot Small, our brand is built on over 20 years of experience in the antiques and furniture painting trade. With two thriving shops, Vintage Frog in Gomshall, Surrey, and The Furniture Recycling Shop in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, we bring a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the world of furniture paint.

A Journey from Humble Beginnings

My journey began in 2004, driven by a passion for transforming discarded furniture into beautiful, cherished pieces. I started by purchasing items from local tips and car boot sales, sanding them back and painting them to give them a new lease on life. These early creations were sold at a market stall in Maidenhead, and it wasn't long before I realised the potential of blending antique dealing with furniture restoration.

Years of trading in antiques have provided me with invaluable insights into furniture finishes, design, and wood types. This deep understanding has been instrumental in developing our paint, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and performance. Through trial and error, and with an eye for detail, I crafted a paint that I am extremely proud of. It enables anyone, from novices to professionals, to achieve exceptional results in their furniture painting projects.

After travelling the country for two decades on antique buying trips, I have drawn inspiration from the everyday beauty of British life. Our colour palette reflects the rich and varied landscapes and vibrant cities that make Britain unique.
